Hi, my question deals with add/remove. Should also I also use regedit to remove portions of the removed program that add/remove did'nt catch?

    xp home
    intel d core
    2 gig ram

With a well written uninstall program that should not be necessary. In real life remnants will be left in the registry. They are basically harmless - some graphics drivers are an exception.

Rather that mess about in the registry use RegSeeker or jv16PowerTools to search out, backup and delete references.
