Media Player 9 on Windows 98 means no "full screen"

Hi Folks,
In an unguarded, zealous moment some weeks back, I upgraded my Media Player to the 9 version, and all seemed well - until I belatedly realized I could not change the image to "full screen," a feature I really liked. Surfing around the net for info, I saw an article that said it's very problematic indeed to de-install Media Player 9 (no provision in the 9 version) or revert to an earlier one. (Alas, too much time has gone by to revert my hard drive.) Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm a bit of a neophyte when it comes to media players; do others offer a full-screen option? Thanks in advance for any input you can offer!
