I sometimes need to cut and paste a form or a letter (that has several indents, etc.) from Word to Outlook Express in the main body of the email (not as an attachment). When I do this (right click "paste ") I get the message "your security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly ". Not correctly is right--the paragraphs are all messed up with extra spaces plus the indents are out of whack. Any suggestions? I'm not that familiar with Active X controls and don't want to make any changes to my Outlook Express settings until I have some expert advice!

I will appreciate hearing back ASAP as I have to get a form into the body of an email today.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Is OE set to send as plain text? If so, set to to send as Rich Text.

I did some experimenting with this and mine works alright with no issues. Try this to eliminate this from being the cause:

Do the following while in Outlook Express:
    >Tools
    >Options
    >Click on the Security Tab
    >Under "Virus Protection" in the Security zone, move the option to Internet Zone instead of Restricted sites zone. Make sure you have a good anti virus though to check all your incoming e-mail. It could be that some of the macros in word are being seen as a virus in OE.
