After my last reboot (That went as normal) upon logging back in my taskbar is gone. I can still access it via hitting the "windows" key but the bar itself doesnt show up anywhere on my desktop. Any Ideas? It doesnt appear that it is minimized and I dont have "Auto Hide" taskbar.

Can you go to the bottom of your screen and get a resize arow? If so, click and pull it up until you can see your taskbar. If not, try going to the bottom of your screen, right clicking and see if there's a "lock taskbar" option that is checked. If so, uncheck it and then try what I mentioned above.

Might need to use the control setting on the monitor.

    That's also a likely possibility.

Through experimentation I've found that your taskbar cannot be locked it if it too short to show up, so forget everthing I said about locked taskbars.

    Try this!

I had a similar problem once, in which my applications wouldn't show up on the taskbar, I was given this link Click on "taskbar is missing." Download the utilty and follow the instructions, VOILA! It would re-appear!

Good Luck and tell me how it goes.:)

    Got it fixed, Thanks

This was a bit of stupidity on my own part. I use a program called object dock which has a option to hide the windows task bar. I didnt have it turned on before but I think something got a little scrambled and it turned on some how. Thanks for all the advice.
