My transfer of files from a Win98 PC to a Win XP PC was not successful. I used FAST with a null modem serial cable, created a FAST floppy on the XP PC, detected the COM port on both PCs then chose the files to be transferred on the Win98 XP. After the transfer is initiated on both PCs, it never takes place
or completes, even after a couple of hours. The files are about 500mb total.

Yes, I printed that article and followed it exactly. The FAST program apparently compresses the files to be transferred but never transfers them.

I am using Win Xp SP2 and Win 98se on the two respective PCs.

All the articles cover about the same routine except for the use of the serial cable or CD-R etc.
Perhaps my file to be transferred is too large. I will try transferring a smaller file.

    Thanks,
