I have set some of my folders to use the customize feature, some are
set for icons (which dont always give me the one i select) and some are
    set for a picture.

This is OK for those folders that dont have a lot of files but a folder with
many files is slow to show (picture or icon) like the windows folder.

Question is for the folders that are set to picture - how do i get them to
reset back to the original plain folder? I have tried using the "Restore
Default" button but it dont change anything....

    Thanks,
    savagcl

Try clicking the Change Icon button and select the plain ol yellow folder.

    Steve R Jones,

Tried that first. Seems to work if you just changed the icon to something
else then it will change back.

But if you selected a picture (instead of an icon), then the only way it will
change to a plain folder is to delete all the pictures from that folder.
However saving a picture back to that folder will again change the icon
    to that picture.

Guess i need to ask how to get the "picture customisation removed....

    Thanks for replying,
    savagcl

Change the folder View (under explorer's View menu) to something other then Filmstrip or Thumbnails.
