My Computer [opens on log on]

I have Windows XP. Whenever i log on in to my account my computer automatically appears on screen, it just pops up. How do i stop this from happening. Please Help.

You could go to Start -> All Programs -> Startup. Check that there are no listings for My Computer or folders on your drive. There should only be programs that run at startup. If you do not want any items to run in this Startup listing, right-click on them and select Delete (they are just "shortcuts ").

Run msconfig, type msconfig in the Run command line and look at the Startup tab, alternatively you can run Hijack This (run a Google search to find where to download it). In it's scan, look at the headings 04. There should be an executable file .exe contained in each. If one does not have a .exe listed, make a log file, copy the line from the log file and put it in a post here.
