RickyD2--Replacing the deleted folder--if it is one of OE's standard folders like Inbox, Deleted Items, etc.-- should just be a matter of rebooting.
Restoring the contents is another matter.
Presume you have run a Search on your PC for *.dbx. That is what all the OE folders are called. Do you find the missing folder?
If no luck, then you will have to try to Undelete. Deleted data stays on the hard drive, but Windows thinks the space is available for writing new data. So with time the deleted data is overwritten and gone for good.
So write to your hard drive as little as possible until you have tried the following.
Download Restoration--if possible to a floppy or other external media (to avoid writing to the hard drive)
    http://www.webattack.com/get/restoration.html
Run Restoration from the floppy. Good Luck.

Thanks Jim out there in the Duke City.

I gave her the information you presented and she was able to find the folder but the file she wanted was no longer there, apparently having been overwritten. She does tons of e-mail daily in connection with a home business.

She now has a new point of view at saving certain critical files.

    Again, thanks.

RickyD2--Sorry to hear the bad news.
I generally OE File|Save As important email to a different location and delete from OE. And just delete unimportant messages. OE works better with fewer files.
