i have a 2.4 ghz baby monitor, I was told by the company that I can change the freq on my wireless router so that it will not interfere with the baby monitor, can someone tell me how to do this?

It depends on what kind of wireless router you are using.

For "old" router, there is no way to change the frequent.

So, Could you please give your wireless router's model and maker?

Probably you can't change it on this router. Sorry to say this.

But you can change the channel the wifi uses so the baby monitor & wifi use different channels.

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm just trying to get a grasp of this subject.
We have two devices operating on frequency 2.4ghz (WIFI / baby monitor).
The WIFI router has the option to broadcast/receive via selectable channels within that frequency. So if we "choose a different channel" with WIFI, this will allow both devices to operate with out interfering with each other?
    Thanks

the router has 11 selectable channels the default is set to 6, however I dont know what each channel operates on. the baby monitor has 3 channels b/c it has 3 cameras with these frequencies 2.410, 2.441, and 2.468 ghz.
