    Hi Ricardo,

    Ok, a bunch of questions:

Are you using a 3rd party download manager program?

Are you using IE or something else?

What type of files are you trying to download?

If the file(s) size is less than 15MB, does it work?

    Regards - Charles

    Hi Ricardo,

Still trying to pin down whether this problem is limited to just this particular download or not.

Torpedo's suggestion of trying Fire Fox would be a good test in two ways, whether you can download it at all, and if you can, in trying FF, whether this is an IE problem or not.

I can't think of any IE setting or OS setting that would limit the download size, other than then the size of the TIF cache, and that's more than adequate in this case. The only possibility that comes to mind is this an AciveX issue. Are the AciveX options the standard ones for XP SP2? In other words, have you ever changed any IE settings?

    Regards - Charles

When the download stops is your connection to your ISP still live or has it dropped out?

    Hi Ricardo,

    When did this start?

Did you install anything new, or updates, such as MS updates?

My advice at this point is to try System Restore. If you can pinpoint roughly the date this started, Restore to a point just before that.

Any new applications installed, or updates, such as Anti Viruses and MS Updates, would have to be done again.

If SR does solve this problem, when going thru re installing/updating, do them one at a time, including MS updates, test IE before proceeding to the next.

If you have any question on using System Restore to restore to an earlier date, use Help and Support on the Start menu. Type System Restore into the search box.

To do MS Updates one at a time:

Go into the Control Panel > Security Center.

Scroll down to Manage Security Settings.

    Click on Automatic Updates.

Tick either the Download but let me install option, or Notify me option.

    Regards - Charles
