Defragged and lost Microsoft games

I have no idea how this happened, but my daughter swears all she did was defrag her WIN XP laptop, and she lost FreeCell, Spider Solitaire, etc. --- all her pre-installed games. It's true that her Games folder is empty.

Does anyone have any idea how to get these back? Evidentally, the discs that came with the computer don't include the games. I've searched the Microsoft web site for free downloads to no avail. Still, I'll try again if that's the answer.

Try System Restore, restore back to just before the defrag.

If that works, the executes for the games will be restored. Any other files these games created, such as scoring histories, may or may or not be not be restored depending on their file extensions.

Was the defragger used XP's or a 3rd party's?
