I have NortonGhost 10.0 Installed on my Computer. I am attempting to
use the recovery CD, however it requires the file halacpi.dll, which I
was able to download off the internet - however am unable to install
via RegSvr32. I get the following error: LoadLibrary( "halacpi.dll ")
failed - Invalid Access to Memory Location. I've exempted RegSvr32
from DEP, tried and Safe Mode, and everything else I can think of. How
    can I register this DLL?

I am using Windows XP Home SP2

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's the Hardware Abstraction Layer, and I seriously doubt you can just copy that dll & register it (as you found out).

    Some more info here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;nl;314070

You are probably trying to restore an image on a computer with a different HAL then what was used to create the image.

    Thanks for the info!

I later found it that it was a problem with the CD, replacing it fixed it!
