Malaware/Virus hijacking IP address

    First off, the desktop is cured. The little .reg file from Kelly's Korner did the trick. No pop ups come up, Autoruns is good, and GMER... Ah, I understand why GMER has that reputation. It's simple, easy to use (and dangerous because so easy), but it detects things that no other rootkit in the business does, safe for Autoruns, to which I raise my hypothetical hat!

    I followed their textual advice but did not download any of their software. No need to have yet another piece of .exe when the ones I have work just fine.

    So, I gather you think the log I posted is thoroughly clean. NO need for any more tests? :D

    Other than that, I am grateful for your time, your attention and your clearly given instructions and I appreciate your help very much.
