    I hope I am in the right place. I have windows xp home and using internet explorer 6, I want to know what html version I am using and where on my computer I can find it?

    No, I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean? Can you tell us what you're trying to do? Are you perhaps looking for an html editor? Or setting your email to accept html rather than plain text?

    HTML

    The version of HTML you are using is determined by the header & format of the "page" you are looking at.

    If you are writing HTML - the the choice is yours.

    HTML & Java Script are a step backwards in that they both are transmiting the "source code" to the system which must then "Interprate" it before it can be used. - Why do they do it this way? - decause then it does not matter what wrote the code or what displays it - what is referred to as "platform independant ".

    Your browser is the interpreter, all current browsers support HTML going back to the begining up through "Transitional" or non offical new additions to the HTML standards.
