We have a dedicated RAS machine that I would like to be able to audit the event viewer logs on. By this I mean, I would like to be able to determine when a particular user dialed into the box and the duration which they were logged in etc. I have filtered the log file to just the events I am interested in but they are still in the 1-2 thousand range and I'd like to do this without having to go through each and every record in the log. Is there a way to do this 3rd party or through MS? I have googled it and can't find anything suitable.

    Thanks,
    Lobo

    Details...

    Hi, lobo.
What OS is the RAS running on?
Do you need the info online, or only for statistical needs?

    Hi Sorinso,

It is on a 2000 Advanced Server box and I only need the data for statistical collection.

    Thanks,
    Lobo

No tools that I know of...

First, sorry for the delay in my answer.
I am not aware of any tools that can do the work for you. There are a lot of tools for web logs, but I don't know any for RAS logs.
It might be an idea to write a script yourself, that will analyze the log.
    Sorry I couldn't help more.

Thanks so much for the taking the time to get back to me, I've found an application that does most of what I needed done. It's called "Event Log Viewer Pro 2.0" and sells for around $45 US. It works well.

    Thanks again,
    Lobo
