I've posted before about not being able to get a different name adapter that worked at hotels/motels but something funny is going on. I tried to run the instalation cd that I saw the fellow at the computer store run when he set the wireless adpter up and it says it can't find or can't open a temporary file and won't continue the installation. I tried to install a different adapter's cd and get the same message or that there is a scripting error. I downloaded the adope reader that's on the cd but it doesn't help. I don't get it?

While no one would or could offer me any advice on the matter, I on the other hand persevered and finally after a month had success. The formula for my success was:

    (1) I needed to uninstall the wireless hardware/software and reinstall it. I used the current drivers from the wireless card's website and extracted the exe file before loading it on to my flash card and placing it on to my laptop.

    (2) Right click on the wireless icon on task bar

    (3) Click on site survey

    (4) Click on the information listed that is desired and click, add to profile.

It should work the same whenever anyone would want to connect to any Hotel/Motel wireless setup.

I think this is right and hope this info helps someone else in need.
