Sychronizing in Outlook 2003

    :mad: Whenever I try to download/upload messages Outlook 2003 starts synchronizing. This either slows down the download/upload process considerabley or freezes the download/uploads and I have to reboot. I WANT to stop this synchronizing. HELP

    Is it syncing to a pda or something that is currently plugged in? Have you looked in the sync software for different settings?

    Synchronizing in Outlook 2003

    What platform are you using? How old is your machine? Capacity? I use outlook 2003 as my contact management program and have not experienced your problem. My snychrozing settings are for 90 - 120 days, not daily. The only time my messages "hang" is when someone is sending me excessively large files which take a long time to download. I have friends(?) who send me pictures that have so many MB that it seems like the program is hanging when in fact it is only doing its job, but can't do it at a speed I want. I assume you have a broadband connection, verdad?

    When you say "syncing" you have to give us more information. Are you using Outlook 2003 in cached mode?
