How do I clean out my cache? Something is blocked up and I am having trouble getting my links to come up.
Is there possibly any other reason for this? I am about to cancel a website service, they tell me everything works from their end, but I am unable to get the modification pages to come up, so I can't edit it.

You may need to go a little further than Steve indicated and delete the .dat file(s) in Temporary Internet Files too. This cannot be done with the computer running as it is in use. Best way is to download CCleaner and set it up as shown in the screenshot - make sure that all other options are unchecked.

The .dat file will be marked for deletion on reboot.

    Still trying

Thank you, Pete. I will try this suggestion. I am getting really discouraged because I need a website in order to publish e-zine articles. It always worked before.

Also, my roommate accidently deleted me as the owner of the windows 98 on my desktop computer. I am kicked out of windows with just a dos prompt, and I was told to type in win and I did, and I got a bad command message. Is there any hope? I don't have an installation disk with it, because I bought it second hand from e-bay.

    Thank you
    Sherry

    ccleaner

Okay, I went there, and it says it is freeware, but then it wants 39.00. Can you suggest a free cleaner, maybe?
    Thank you

I've no idea where you saw $39

This is the download page you should have ended up on by following the Download tab on the page I posted ....

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Which DOS prompt are you at - C:?

win should get you into Windows from there.

    Hello Sherry,

CCleaner is definitely free, and it definitely works. And take Pete's suggestion and delete the "index.dat" files, too. My wife's laptop had similar problems, and deleting the "index.dat" files fixed those problems. :) I swear by it.
