I have Windows XP on my computer. Recently whenever I log onto an internet page I don't get graphics any more. I get red X's. Please tell me how to get rid of the red X's and get the graphics back. Thank you very much.

abx--The fix described in PeteC's suggestion is fairly specific.
There could be many more fixes.
The easiest is to click Refresh. If that does not work, right click on a RedX and click Show Picture. Also look at IE Tools|Internet Options|Advanced tab|under Multimedia is "Show Pictures" checked? If not check it|Apply|OK.
But if none of these help, then the fun begins

Note the reference to turning off the firewall (though that should be done only briefly to test whether that is the cause). If it is the cause, post back.

And if nothing has helped, do you run a HOSTS file?
