    Greetings,

I have a logon script that workds great but, for some users it seems to not run at logon and they have to run it later, is there any reason a logon script would not run when you first logon, is there a way to force this better in AD i have it under the profile section in the users properties

I tend to take failure of the logon script to indicate problems authenticating during logon. Sometimes the PC isn't actually logging on to the domain (but rather logging on locally), or a problem with the DNS set up (not using the AD server as the DNS server).

May need to apply a group policy "Always wait for network at computer startup and logon "

This will wait for the network to come up before users try to login.

Is the script setup in thier AD profile? Try accessing the sysvol folder and run script manual.

What client OS are we talking? 2000 Pro was notorious for not applying logon scripts until the 2nd or 3rd user logon. Then they'd apply at each logon.

    xp

These systems are XP, i found an AD setting that looks like it will force the script before it goes into startup on the system so i am trying that.
