re-installing xp home

    Hi all, just a really simple question. I need to change my hard drive with the os on it, but windows has been activated, can i install it on the new hd and re-activate it?? How many times can this be done?

    yes you can. as for activation, i really can't give an exact number, as i know i have used the same XP home cd several times. there was an 120 days "waiting period" (per se) that you had to wait before using the same xp cd over again, but i don't know if that still holds true today.

    Yes it still true but its within how many times you do install windows over and over again , They allow so many re - installment before you have to call them to get the reactivated options but , that no big deal either , Just speak with someone from microsoft in INDIA to reactivate new keys ...
