System restore - cannot reverse process

I recently tried to use restore to solve a problem and may have cused a bigger one, I went back to March 30-06 and now it seems it dose not want to show my home page Road Runner and other screens stay blank i cant use any thing that has been installed after this date. all because I wanted to play Tiger Woods 06

One can undo a restore point so you really haven't created any kind of a lasting problem.

on my last post i forgot to mention that i tried to use the restore to go back to where i started but the restore will not even come up i have tried several ways but nothing i do seems to work

You have to re install anything, including MS updates - Anti Virus updates, that was installed subsequent to the end of March.

Thats the nature of System Restore, takes you back to the way the system looked as of the restore date.

You write "but the restore will not even come up ", can you be more precise? What didn't come up, the date? System Restore itself? In the front panel there is a "undo restore" option. What happens ticking that?

system restore won't respond

when i try to use restore to undo a previous restore the system dose not show a screen it only shows a blank window without text or images totally blank, even my home page will not respond as well as other links will not open up I have tried some of the respones from other threads but none of them work
