I deleted a program off my Pc. Uninstall went fine. When rebooted noticed the program's folder is still under 'all programs' Program called Act2006.

Tried to delete folder but get the following message.

"Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source file or disk ".

How can I remove the folder.?
    Thanks.
    Bill

That's probably because the folder has already been deleted, but it will still be listed in Windows indexing system until you restart the computer.

If you want to remove the listing in All Programs, right-click on Act2006 and select Delete. This will remove the "shortcut" from the list of programs.

Check for left-over folders after you reboot and try to delete them then.

I've already rebooted, my orginal message stated that. The folder is still there AND if I right click on the folder and choose delete, from the suggestion, thats when I get the message.

"Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source file or disk "

    Still need help.

    Hello w.young,

Try Safe Mode first. Boot up hitting the F8 key and delete, than reboot normally.

If the file still won't delete - Use Move On Boot, download from here: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/moveonboot.html to delete it. It will add a new item to your right click Context Menu, target that file with Move on Boot, and then reboot.

    Regards - Charles
