    • You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
    • When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
    • Turn your computer back on.
    • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Ok, lets remove what we have left.

You have a Purity Scan infection, we need to see whats installed.

We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
    • Open Windows Defender.
    • Click on Tools, General Settings.
    • Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
    • After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.

After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you re-enable Real-time Protection again.

    Next run Hijackthis.
    • Click on "Open the Misc Tools section ".
    • Next click on "Open uninstall manager ".
    • Press the button 'save list'. It will open a Notepad file.
    • Place the content of that file here in your in your next post.

Go to 'Task Manager' by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Delete and 'End Task' on the following process(es):
    C:\DOCUME~1\DAVIDG~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\!update.exe
    C:\DOCUME~1\DAVIDG~1\APPLIC~1\DOBE~1\spool32.exe

Run Hijackthis and look over the following entries I have listed, check the boxes next to them and press the "Fix Checked" button with HijackThis. When you are doing this, make sure you have No IE windows, or other browsers open, including this one. Reboot if I have specified below, and post a fresh HijackThis log.

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: windvy32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\windvy32.dll

Reboot, into safe mode, this way:
    Turn on the computer
Immediately begin tapping the <F8> key.
Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode and press the <Enter> key.

Also, enable the 'Show Hidden Folders' option, like this:
    Click Start.
    Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    Click Yes to confirm.
    Click OK.

And search for, then delete, if found, (some may not be present after previous steps) the following files/folders:
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\windvy32.dll<<<--file
    C:\PROGRA~1\SMBOLS~1<<<<---folder
    C:\DOCUME~1\DAVIDG~1\APPLIC~1\DOBE~1<<<<---folder
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\geebb.dll <<<--file
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vewlm.exe<<<--file
    gadpwga. exe<<<--file

To exit Safe Mode, click the Start button, click Turn Off Computer, click Restart.

Post a new HJT log back into this thread please.

OK, lets tackle that file with a specail tool.

    Download Unlocker
    Install it.
    Reboot your computer.
After reboot, navigate to this file:

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\windvy32.dll

right-click on this file and choose "Unlocker ".
A window should come up, click to highlight the file path and choose "unlock" (make sure "no action" is chosen in the program).
After you unlock it, right-click on the file and choose delete.

Let me know how that goes.

OK, I want you to run the Vundo fix again, post the log. We must not have gotten all of it.

After you run Vundo and reboot, please do as instructed below.

Go to 'Task Manager' by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Delete and 'End Task' on the following process(es):
    C:\WINDOWS\??mantec\cmd.exe

Run HJT, and place a check next to the following lines, then, with all browsers and windows closed, hit 'Fix checked':

    O2 - BHO: Windows Resources - {2D38A51A-23C9-48a1-A33C-48675AA2B494} - C:\WINDOWS\winres.dll

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {6D794CB4-C7CD-4c6f-BFDC-9B77AFBDC02C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddccdca.dll

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UserFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -u

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Lpjdhiw] C:\WINDOWS\MANTEC~1\cmd.exe

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: ddccdca - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ddccdca.dll

Reboot, into 'Safe mode',and search for, then delete, if found, the following files/folders:
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ddccdca.dl<<<--file
    C:\WINDOWS\MANTEC~1<<<<---this folder
    C:\WINDOWS\winres.dll<<<--file

Reboot into Normal mode and post a new HJT log back into this thread please.
