xp logon prob

im connecting mine and my brothers computer tru a network, he has xp proffesional, and when i changed the settings for the network and rebooted it came up with the xp logon screen. however he has forgotten the password and i have no idea what the admin one is either. ive been trying to get windows support on the net and they want the product ID. It says the id is on the computer but i cant get to it as it wont let me logon. any ideas

please help.

 

Just interested....how did your brother use his computer before it was networked if he didn't know his logon password?

 

You also don't need to get into the computer to get your Product ID. It should be located on the CD case or sleeve.
