Photo Editing Software;Your Opinions?

    What free photo editing/organizing software would you recommend? T.I.A.:)

    I don't use a free graphics editor, but if I did I would use GIMP windows version.

    For minor Edit/viewing, my choice is Irfanview.
    Since digital camera age, each download from your camera brings in another bunch of pics. I put originals in one folder, then use Image Resizer to shrink KB size for "friendly email" and store this 2nd set on a network drive for easy family access. For major editing of a picture, I use Adobe Elements (cheap cousin to PhotoShop). You freeware equivalent would be Gimp. Be aware these programs (PhotoShop / Gimp) have a demanding learning curve.
    For organizing your pics, you could look at tools like Picasa. They will search your HD for all graphic media and sort it in a way it is manageable. You then decide if you or the program organizes better.
    Memo ... Image Resizer and Picasa run on XP only.

    Faststone Image Viewer is one of the best free image programs out there. Many features of Pro software.
