Okay, so I have a bit of a problem here. Earlier I was turning off my comp and was about to put it in Standby when I noticed I couldn't. The button for it is greyed out and unclickable. My computer takes forever to turn on, so I don't feel like turning it off. It's been working for me for the past few years, and it all of the sudden stopped today, when I didn't seem to do anything. Anyone know a solution to this?

    Try this one:
    http://www.fujitsu-siemens.co.uk/rl/servicesupport/techsupport/lifebook/General/RrestoreStandby.htm

From the Kelly's Corner link, this one seems to be the most appropriate.
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Patch/Q306676/WXP/EN-US/Q306676_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe

The first search result in the first link Pete posted helped me. It explained it pretty clearly.
