Hello murcui and welcome to the Board,

The basics: Have you gone thru your startup programs? Read thru the post referenced and follow the instructions on how to shut uneeded programs from starting up.

    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=39425

If you've done so, then a little more details please; background, for example, did this occur with a particular program install? Had you any system or malware problems that you recovered from? How many and what security programs are you running realtime?

I'm changing your thread title to a more meaningful description of your problem.

    Regards - Charles

An additional question I forgot to ask:

How much RAM (Memory) does the System have?

    If you don't know:

    Right click on My Computer

    Click on Properties

The info will be at the bottom along with the Service Pack info.

    Regards - Charles
