Gifs don't move

Hi All,

I have a question concerning gifs. When I send gifs to a friend of mine - they move and everything is fine but when he sends me gifs - they don't move.

Does anyone know why this would be happening?

Anne--What program are you using to open .gif files?
Is this happening with all .gif files or just those sent by your friend?
What happens if you save the .gif and then open it?
What version of Windows and IE are you using? What are your and friend's email programs?

We finally figured it out. It seems he was trying to save them from the e-mail which I had inserted them into so they were saving as bmp's and not gifs. Once I sent them to him as attachments (gif format) then when he e-mailed them back to me they moved.
