Wndows Key Disable & Enable

I found a new way to Disable & enable the Windows Key (Flag Key) on your keyboard.
Go to Kellys_Korner.

Scroll down to #78 on the right hand side. Click on Enable or Disable Winkeys, and download to a spot you remember.
Click the Script File, and you will see a notice that it has been Disabled.
Click again if you want it Enabled. You may then have to Reboot to finish.

 

One question....Why would a person want to disable the windows key? Anything gained?

 

I cannot imagine not having the Windows Key. I use it for so many shortcuts. But apparently it gets in the way of some gamers.

You can choose to disable the left or the right or both.

 

LOL, you've got that right. Nothing more frustrating then being in the heat of battle and you accidently hit that windows key. It takes you back to the desktop. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what kind of shape you'll be in when you get back into the game.

 

Which explains my ignorance. The most exciting game I play is an invigorating round of Spider Sol.

 

The Script will also enable the key. That was what I needed.

 

My left hand Control and Win Key are just about worn out. If I can do it with the keyboard instead of a click, I probably will. For anyone searching and finding this thread, sometimes you need to install keyboard drivers to make your Win Key work.
