Please be specificabout the type of netscape mail acct. If you mean a @netscape.net account, and you come from a NS6/7, I can understand.
No other mail client can set a @netscape.net account, directly.
It can be set up as a POP account by using a third party software like freePOPs . You must use your ISP to send mail, if it lets you. The other way is the way it always been, with such accounts. Use the website. They are called Webmails for a good reason.

    Thanks
I was using netscape mail and news groups 7.2 and had a netscape mail
address ,then set up thunderbird and was trying to get my @netscape.net
    mail to work in thunderbird.
I thought because it was mozilla it would work.

    Welcome to the Forum, dmssouza!

    dmssouza,

Keep in mind that the @netscape.net portal is AOL webmail, and no longer has any connection to the now defunct Netscape, or Mozilla. That's why it is incompatible with Thunderbird... But of course, as Westside recommends, you can always access @netscape.net thru the online portal.
