Devil Whisper - Welcome to the Board :)

Yes, we will try to help you, of course :) I have split your post to a new thread.

Please download SmitfraudFix and unzip the contents to a folder on your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double click on Smitfraudfix.cmd

If a Security Warning pops up hit the Run button

A command window appears > press any key to continue

On the line with the flashing cursor 'Enter your choice (1.2 ....) type 1 and press Enter

The program scans your system and when the scan has completed a Notepad window opens containing the scan report.

Select Edit from the menu bar then Select All from the dropdown menu - the text is highlighted in blue

Select Edit from the menu bar then Copy

Return to your thread here and hit Reply and right click on the white area of the message pane and select Paste from the menu which appears. The report will be pasted into your reply.

Sorry for the delay - I have been away a few days :)

You may like to print out these instructions as you will be unable to connect to the Internet to read them while in Safe Mode.

Boot into Safe Mode and log onto your usual account.
In Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd

Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ? "; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter ".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process. A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process - a copy of this file is saved as C:\rapport.txt.

Reboot into Safe mode - or stay in Safe Mode and scan again with HJT and save the log file.

Reboot into Normal Mode and post the contents of the SmitfraudFix log located at C:\rapport.txt and the new HJT log into this thread.

Please download Killbox to your desktop - do not attempt to run it yet.

Boot into Safe Mode and scan again with HJT and place a check mark against this entry and click on Fix selected ...

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {60D00F0D-C480-44AB-B56F-93AB8064DA68} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ir41_qcd.dll

Stay in Safe Mode and run KillBox and select Delete on Reboot

Copy this list of file locations to your clipboard ....

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ir41_qcd.dll

Go to File > Paste from clipboard and Click All Files

Press the button with a red circle with an X in it, then Yes when prompted to restart your computer.

Boot into normal mode and scan again with HJT and post a new log.
HJT is not directly concerned with the removal of simple spyware - it is an analytical tool to deal with browser hijacks, etc.

You already have SpySweeper installed - this will do the job for you, but no one program will find everything - only those items of spyware/malware which are in the definition files of the program will be found, if present. It is very important therefore to keep the program updated frequently - weekly.

As a cross check download, update and run Ad-Aware SE and Spybot through Quicklinks in my signature. Many other ways of avoiding.removing spyware ....

My apologies - I had realised that your computer did not speak English :) Is it Spanish, Portuguese?

I was typing an explanation when the telephone rang and I was interrupted.

Anyway you have followed the instructions correctly and your HJT log is clean.

Is your computer running without problems now?

Glad to help and to hear that the problem is solved :)

I have not had the pleasure of visiting Portugal, but I spent a little time many years ago working in Spain as a commissioning engineer on a copper casting plant.

I graduated in 1964 from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London University as a metallurgist and spent my entire working life in the brass/copper industry in the UK working in research and as a metallurgical development engineer. I spent some time in Spain and Australia commissioning (installing and setting to work) equipment which I had designed or developed. I retired early on the last day of the last millennium 31/12/1999.
