I just thought I would pass on a tip that I found regarding uninstalling these programs. I was trying to uninstall mycurrent version so that I could install the new. My Win98 system would not remove the programs using Add/Remove. After some looking, I found out this is a problem on some 98 and ME systems. Look here for that thread. Any ways, here are the direct links for uninstall programs for FF and TB. Just unzip the folder and run the file. There was only a couple files/folders that I had to remove manually. I just ran a search on "Thunderbird" and "Firefox ". Otherwise, the programs uninstalled.

Remember to backup your profiles before doing any deleting/uninstalling. Some files/folders may need to be added after your install.

    Ramona,

You're welcome. I figured somebody may be having the same problem. Once the new versions were installed, I tried uninstalling (on my 98 system). The problem still exists. I would have to use the program above in the future. Strange it started happening with just the last two versions. at least I can remove them if needed.

    Mike,

Same experience here, and I had to do it the hard way, with a Registry cleaner, and manually remove the rest. Great to have these files.

Something definitely go broken in 1.5.0.2, and 1.5.0.3!
