cannot create new account

cannot crwate new account

when i creat a new account, then try to log in, i get a message that the user profile settings are not found.

the "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator" was deleted.

I hav another computer with XP, can i just copy that dir to this computer??

 

That shouldn't be possible!

Normally the Admin account cannot be deleted, it can, however be renamed...

Before I copied an admin account from another sys I would try to repair it.

if you can boot to your XP cd and get into the recovery console - (this is just to check if there is an admin password set - or if it accepts his password.) then we know we can run the Xp repair function.

i resolved the problem, it wasn't the admin dir, it was the "default user" dir. I copied from an other machine and now it works fine
