    Hi everyone,

I have a windows 2000 professional box and want open "My computer" on the desktop by double-click on it. But it does not work. I only can open it by right click on it and select "open" from the pop-up menu.

However, the function of mouse is ok, I can click something on tool bar or "start "

I guess probably there must be a setting to control this behavior.

    Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks.

Even when I enter "my computer" by "open" which listed in the pop up menu, I could not double click on "C" or other drivers. The only way I could do is right click on that and select open.

    Anyway, thanks for your suggestion.

Look in the mouse applet in the control panel and see if there's a setting in there that controls the speed of double clicking. If there's one there and it's set to the fastest setting, turn it down a notch or two. I have an MS mouse and it has such a setting. If I set it to the fastest setting it's almost impossible for me to get double clicking to work.
