New items on Task Bar

I've got two items that keep popping up on my task bar. both are shield shaped. One is red trimmed in white w/ a white "X" in the center. It keeps saying stuff about secrity being out of date. It's definitely new and sometimes refers to McAfee and other times it's windows. The other shielf is yellow and trimmed in white with a black "!" in the center. It keeps mentioning updates. Please help. FYI, I can not run SmitRem or SmitFraudFix for some reason. I've downloaded and extracted both while disabling all antiviruses etc. Even tried in safe mode so I cna't use those unless someone can get those to work for me. Fresh HJT Log:

I promise I'm not a moron and I'm only slightly computer illiterate. did have a problem with some infernal flashing exclamation points recently that were indeed malware infections or infestations.

My McAfee has expired....is there any way to disable windows from constantly annoying me about the update?

If you are no longer going to use McAfee I would uninstall in add/remove programs.
That "should" stop the update reminder.

Then you know that you "need to have" some type of AV.
