I have successfully burned a VCD from my Yamaha CD_RW. It is a slideshow with a music background. It works just fine on my DVD player.

My question is: I used Ullead Software and I was limited by the software to 99 Photos (JPEG) on the VCD. Is this standard on all VCD burning programs when burning a VCD with images and music for a slideshow?

Is there software available that will burn more than 99 images for a Slideshow?

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

P.S. Not ready for DVD-R-RW yet. Too expensive and too new.

    Question for a question

What is the lenth of the program with 99 pics?

remember there is an audio track and a data track - at some point you run out of room.

I have plenty of space left on the CD, even with the music. I have since checked other VCD programs and the standard seems to be 99 photos in each slide show. You can create a second slide show on the disk, (and third, fourth, etc.) until you are done with the pictures.

On the particular slide show I created, I have 2 separate slide shows, with a menu for each one.

When the prices and speed of DVD-R-RW get reasonable I'll move into that arena.

    Thanks for your reply.
