Geez I just seem to keep finding questions. I have installed Kazaa on my pc under my name as administrator. However, when daughter goes into her account she is not able to download music because I have her account set up as limited. ( She tends to delete my programs otherwise). Kazaa must be a shared program when downloaded as we each seem to have it now but I am the only one that can download music. Is there a way to let them download or do they have to be under administer acoounts also. This is the XP Home Edition.

Don't know the first thing about the app but you can set up the .exe for "runas" and use the administrator account and then anyone using it will have admin rights for that one thing.

I actually use Grokster, but it is the same program... I set up a second (limited) account on my box, logged on to it and copied the program shortcut to the desktop (copied it from my main account Start Menu) Then I created a new download folder for this user. When I clicked on the shortcut the "Setup User" dialog opened and I entered a new username and password. The program then started, at which point I went to "Tools - Traffic" and entered the new download folder for the new account and was able to search for and download a couple of files...

I do not have my computer set up with NTFS so I don't know if that would make a difference...

You are probably aware that KaZaA does not have an "Official" Forum, so if you still need assistence there is a new forum that is trying to fill in - KaZaA Chat - Forums for KaZaA users - http://www.cardpressonline.com/~kwaites/KaZaAChat.com/cgi-bin/yabb//YaBB.cgi

You may need to configure KaZaa to download to a public directory. By default the directory is protected to only the user that installed it. Check the NTFS permissions on the directory, or change the directory to a mroe common place that her user account can use.

To take the thread slightly OT, Kazaa is loaded with spyware; you may, therefore, wish to take a look at KazaaLite:-
