I continue to get the "This folder is being processed. Please wait until processing is completed to get messages." error when trying to access my gmail account. I tried beleting the .MSF files as suggested, as well as any spam. Also tried deleting the account entirely (deleted using Netscape "Delete Account ", exited Netscape and quick launch. even deleted firectory on the disc.)and recreating it (no e-mail to lose. never have been able to access.)

    Any other suggections.

You may have seen a solution to a Comcast account , similar to yours. Gmail is a POP account, and it could give the same problems, and the solutions would be the same. Make sure that you delete your .msf file with your program closed, or everything you did will revert to the original.
Are you saying that you never were able to access your mail? Also, which version were you using, and what did you delete on the disc?

Gmail account is set for pop. First time I deleted all MSF files with netscape (7.1) closed and exited from quick launch. Problem continued. I then deleted the account from Netscape. Closed Netscape and exited quick launch. went to the directory on the disk and deleted the Gmail account infor there as well. Thus removed all trace of Gmal (I think). Opened Netscape. Account was gone. Recreated the account. "Folder Processing" problem remained. I have never been able to access my Gmail via Netscape.

You seem to have done things ok. Have you tried your Gmail at the website (I am assuming that there is one)? I have never tried Gmail, and I would not expect to cause all the problem you have.
I hope that someone else will be able to help. I would have to read up some, or even subscribe, to be of any help. You should be able to eliminate the account by removing it from your mail and news settings in NS, without deleting the account on the hard drive.
By the way did you set it up the way Google describes . Surely, it is not so standard.
