I swapped to cable broadband recently and tried to hook up my router and it doesn't work. I know this should be a no brainer but I've hooked it up the only two ways possible and it's not going for either, what could be the problem. My router is by Netgear.

Finally got router to work but not satisfied with performance on laptop and main computer slowed down as well. Probably needs some tweaking on the setup procedure.
