I just got a new system and it has the Nvidia firewall software.. should I disable this and just use Zone Alarm Pro by itself? Or do these work fine side-by-side?

    Many thanks :)

    Hello Jimmy,

First, using two software firewalls at the same time is a bad idea - they'll conflict and create havoc.

http://www.firewallleaktester.com/news.htm this site presents test results on various FW's ability to pass various leak tests, you can run the tests yourself. All the major firewalls do the job as far as the basic firewall function goes. The security issue then is how they handle outbound malware connection attempts.

For the record, I use ZAP on one OS and Sunbelt's Kerio on another - both have behavior blocking, which is how ZAP/Kerio block the leak attempts. You sound familiar with ZAP; behavoir blocking was added with the 6.x versions.

    Regards - Charles
