    Hi all,

I have a personal folder setup. In it, there is one subfolder right now. I want anything in there to be automatically deleted when it reaches day 366.

Now, personally I don't have anything in there that old (because the PST's not that old), but to test AutoArchiving I created a rule that says "auto delete anything 5 months old or older ".

I applied, OK'ed, and nothing. All the stuff is still there. Why is AutoArchiving not working?

    Thanks!

    Chris

Click on File->ARCHIVE should force the archive to run.

Well, that seems to run, but I still have items in this folder from September of last year, with AutoArchive settings that are supposed to delete anything over 5 months old. I don't get this...

Did you check the option to "Permanenty" delete?

    Chris,

Where are you setting the AutoArchive settings? Are you using the settings under 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Other' > AutoArchive? If so, try this...
Right-click on the folder in question, select Properties, then the AutoArchive tab, check your settings there. When you create a new folder the default is 'Don't archive this folder'.
