Periodically I notice that there are several windows "stacked" on my task bar (while in Messenger). If I right click I can "Tile" them vertically or horizontally or close the group. What have I done to create a group to begin with.

It's only been the past couple of weeks that this has started. I've searched the Help file and can find nothing on "groups ". I don't recall even finding an option to create this.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    vegaspat,

    Edit | Preferences | Mail & Newsgroups | Windows
Select: When opening messages, display them in:
    "An existing message window "

Otherwise each message will open a new window, thus all the tabs on your task bar...

    Ramona,

Thanks for the reply. That must not be it because that's what I had checked.

Is there some other option I can check? This just started recently and doesn't happen all the time. For instance there are two windows from Messenger and one from Navigator minimized on my Task Bar right now.

Last night there were 3 windows active and there was a little arrow with a fall out menu on them. When I left clicked it showed all three or four windows and when I right clicked I had the option to tile or close the "group ".

I have a bad habit of clicking different options, forgeting about it and then all of a sudden I have a little issue.

    Ramona,

Just wanted to let you know that I think I know what the problem was. I started watching to see when this happened and I noticed something that made me think about what I had dunced around with lately.

I customized my Taskbar via Windows and am pretty sure I set the option to "group" similiar items. I fell certain that's what created this new issue.

    Thanks for your help.
