Sometimes I get e-mails with an very old date on them that are buried somewhere deep in my e-mail list. I have one of those now and even though I have scrolled up and down several times, looking for a title in bold letters, I still can not find it. Anyone have any ideas how to locate it?
    Thanks.

Sorry for being so dense. I just discovered under "go" that you can got to the next unread message so you do not have to search for it.

    ackerberg,

If that date is 12/31/69, then you need to delete all MSF files, and Compact your folders.

A message with a date of 12/31/1969, usually means the message is missing the date header. The Mail Client defaults to using the oldest possible date, but doesn't display the date until the message is a day old.

While in Mail, File|Compact folders, or, specifically to one folder, highlight it and right click|Compact folder. You should do something like that to remove messages which have been deleted, but, are, still, associated with the folder.
