can you rename your inbox in outlook 2000?

is there any way to rename your inbox in outlook 2000, or at least reorder the folders so the inbox is at the very top (easier to find) instead of in the middle?

 

Right click the Inbox and select Rename Shortvut. You can drag and drop it to anywhere on the Outlook bar too.

 

Yes, I am aware of that. I can do it at home, but I can't do it at work. Perhaps it has to be renamed on the exchange server...

 

No, the Exchange server won't stop you renaming folders. Your IT department may have installed some policies, have a word with them.

In an office environment your first port of call should be your internal helpdesk.

 

I've never known it to be possible to rename the Inbox when you are using Outlook with Exchange. You can rename the shortcut on the shortcut bar as it's only a logical pointer. Q198469 on MS details the fact that it can't be done in Outlok as a client, however can with the Exchange Client.
