Changing skins;

    I saw a screenshot of a desktop on a forum page and the Windows skin was completely different than any I've seen.
    Is it possible to change the appearence of the Taskbar, Start button etc?
    The one I saw was real futuristic.
    I've tried Googling Windows skins, but haven't seen any that do what I want.
    Any ideas?

    If you like to play with colors, themes, icons and/or cursors, take a look at Stardock. I use Window Blinds and Icon Packager. I've used it on both XP Home (1.8 ghtz, 512 RAM) and XP Pro (3.2 ghtz, 1 gig RAM) and experienced no problems with it nor does it use enough resources to notice on either computer.

    There is a free trial version of Window Blinds if you want to try it out.

    There are hundreds of themes available for download from the Windows Blinds library. The themes are free.

    I visited the site you mentioned and found a treasure trove of skins.
    I really appreciate the help. Now my only problem is figuring out which one I want to use.
