For the last week the following error message shows up with a donk sound, just before the system shuts down, "Exception EAccess Violation in module Ram_2k.exe Read address 00,000,000 "
At the same time a old data base, [First Choice], from Win 3.1 comes up with the message, " Cannot load VDM IPX/SPX support run time error R6009 - not enough space for envireonment ", and will not load, while moving it to andother XP-Pro CPU, it works perfect. The system is XP-Pro, 1,000,000 of memory with around 550-600 k free. Have not seen a blue screen in about 5-6 months, and boots and shuts down with no problems, but like Roxio creator-7 will not boot up now.
Thank for any assistance with this matter.

    Hello Hal,

To start, have you tried to uninstal Roxio and then re install it?

    Regards - Charles

    Error message on shuting down.

    Hi Charles,
Have uninstalled Roxio and reinstalled, with no better results. The problem seems to point toward where XP fails to be able utilize the available memory and ram.
    Thanks,
    Richard [Hal-11]

Ram_2k.exe would appear to be the/an executable file of Customizer XP so I assume that you have this program installed? If so I would uninstall it and see if your problems are resolved and then reinstall it.

Can we be sure that your computer is booting up OK? - it is not crystal clear to me from your first post that that is the case.

    Hi PeteC,
Yes you were correct that Ram_exe is a part of "Customizer XP, of which I cleaned it fully out of the system, and from the beginning of my problems, as I now remember, it has not been showing up in my "Windows tray" showing the "Ram" from when my troubles poped up. Customizer XP will not reinstall now again, but the error message with Ram_exe does not show up any more now, but now right on shuting down, the message, "Dwwin.exe DLL Innilization failed The application failed to innilize because the workstation is shutting down" shows up. The system boots and shuts down with zero problems.
I, have tried everything to get "First Choice" to boot up, with no luck and it ran perfect for the last 3-4 years. I even downloaded a running "First Choice" from another computer running XP where it is running perfectly, with no positive results, as the program is fully self contained.
    Thanks for your time PeteC,
    Hal-11

Have you tried running First Choice in Compatability mode? Right click on the .exe file > properties > Compatability.
This is Dr Watson for Windows, a program error debugger. Some program is crashing during shutdown and Dr Watson does not have the opportunity to fire up and do it's stuff.
