Received a "Not enough virtual memory" warning when attempting to e-mail a picture on the Google Earth site. Does this refer to the amount of RAM I have on my computer? TIA :)

No, virtual memory refers to the memory created by Windows on your hard disk. If you get this message, increase your page file - Login as Administrator, Right Clicl 'My Computer'->Properties->Advanced->Performance Settings->Advanced->Virtual Memory.

Here is a useful resource on VM.

As rsinfo said, the swap file or virtual memory is a part of your Hard Disk free space which is used when the RAM you have isnt enough to support the progrms running. Check if the drive is running out of free space, or if its badly fragmented, if so run a disk cleanup and defragment.

To be nit-picking ... :p ... Virtual Memory = RAM + pagefile (or swapfile in Win9X) but an immediate relief is to increase the pagefile.
