Firefox Browser Version 1.5.0.2

For some reason, I cannot view certain graphics in Firefox. When I sign on to my gmail account. There are certain graphic that I cannot see in the emails. Plus, it happens when I go onto Amazon and various other sites. I've downloaded the Macromedia Flash Player, yet it doesn't seem to do anything for this. I'm not sure what plug-in is missing from the browser. Can anyone help?

Do you have Java installed?

Did you check your plugins folder in:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins, to see if your Flash player plugins are in place:
GetFlash.exe
NPSWF32.dll

Do you also have the Macromedia Shockwave Player installed? Download is here: http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/#players
