I purchased a HP 7310xi All In one and for 4 days have been trying to connect with my Pavilion mx 750C. After hours with Online Chat support and 2 hours on telephone support, I was finally told that my computer was to old to handle the All In One. I keep getting error 1324 when trying to connect the two. Anyone have any help?

    Darleen,

Someone is telling you a *story*. Here are the 'minimum system requirements' for the HP OfficeJet 7300 series printer. Your computer specs are listed here: HP Pavillion mx750c. I would try one more time with phone support (and ask to speak to a supervisor). If that doesn't resolve the problem, I would return the printer and by another brand (Canon or Epson). I used to really like the HP products but as you can see, their support has become a nightmare.

Thank you so much for your help, I thought that my computer should be adequate, however, I thought perhaps they did outdate sooner than I thought. I finally got a supervisor (Katlyn) on the online chat and she was there for two posts and directed me to a website that didn't help at all. I am very limited to what I can buy, I am on Maui and the only place that sells computer/printers is Costco which is mainly HP and OfficeMax which sells mostly Compaq. I've tried over and over and now all the places they led me to has even got my computer to the place where it won't shut down on it's own, very exasperating.

    Thanks again.

    Darleen,

Here is an 'online' retailer for the next time you need to buy any tech products... NewEgg. (There are several other good sites, but this is my favorite.)

Try this... go to the 'Control Panel', select Add/Remove programs, then un-install anything HP-related to your printer installation attempts. Then reboot your computer. Then re-install the printer following this guide exactly... Installation.pdf. You will need Adobe Acrobat reader to view this. If you don't already have it on your computer, you can download it for *free*HERE.

Thank you so much, I still am unable to get it to work, I couldn't even restore until an hour ago, finally got that to work so I am back to normal as of last Friday.

I'll try your suggestion now and let you know what happens, (after I finish my friends income tax who waited until the last moment!)
